Abstract: The authors of the article have developed a model that describes the categories of intensity of water erosion of the soil only by geomorphological parameters using DEM. The study was conducted on arable soils of the southeastern part of the Central Russian Upland, namely on typical chernozems of the forest-steppe zone and ordinary chernozems of the northern steppe of the temperate climatic zone
