The aim of this work was to investigate the genome of Rhodococcus opacus S8 and explore behavior traits of this strain grown in the presence of hexadecane. The analysis of the genome revealed the presence of genes responsible for the degradation of alkanes and synthesis of biosurfactants. The data obtained show that the strain S8 has great potential to be used in biotechnologiesru
