Abstract: The authors of the article calculated the form factor of a hollow electron beam for transient radiation. It is shown that the characteristics of coherent radiation differ significantly for ordinary solid and hollow beams, and numerical estimates of the frequencies of terahertz radiation and relativistic electron energies are obtained
