Abstract: Results of experimental and theoretical investigation of coherent transition radiation from a finitesize target in the prewave zone are presented. A formula for the spectral-angular density of coherent transition radiation is obtained. Results of the simulation of experimental conditions and experimental data are jointly analyzed
